Anybody using a cannon S90 or S95

I want to buy this camera for tank shots, snorkeling/diving trips and all around general usage.

If anybody has photos they have taken with these cameras i would love to see them!

I love my S90. Every image in the "Brutal - Alaska" http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1911840 thread was taken with the S-90 (except the first and last). I didn't spend much time processing them either.

I wish it had a little more on the tele end but for me the wide end, RAW, and low noise make it worth it. It's a great little camera when I don't want to carry or deal with the big SLR. I am very used to using good gear but I like this little camera.

edit: Oh yeah, I am heading to Hawaii in a few months so if anyone has recomendations about cases or options to take this underwater that would be great (for me and the OP)!

IPT- those are some nice shots! how is the camera for macro?

As far as housing i was going to choose the canon housing or the ikelite, not really sure as i have seen mixed reviews on the canon housings

And when you get back, you should let me borrow it, I'm going to Hawaii in January and am still trying to figure out what I want to do for a waterproof camera :)

You know I haven't really done too much Macro with it. I usually use my SLR with the 100mm f2.8 for that. However, when I first got the camera I was sitting on the couch and my phone was nearby so I took a shot in "macro" mode. I thought it did pretty darn good.

LOL - you don't have the S90 do you? I'm sure anything I buy isn't gonna fit your 50D! My little S90 is with me all the time. That's the beauty of this thing. It shoots RAW, is pretty clean for noise as far as P&S's go, and it's so small and portable I always take it. Now, the 1Ds....not so much. That has to be a planned photo outting, or a workout day :).

Hah, I was speaking of borrowing your camera AND underwater housing. On a serious note though, let me know how it does, because I am in the market to get something relatively cheap (dont need top of the line brand new camera) that will take some good underwater pictures with a housing.

sweet - looking forward to you posting some images once you start shooting with it.
