anyone been to tropical aquarium in brunswick????

I stopped in, and will be going back tomorrow, thanks for the heads up. I ordered 2 dispar anthias and an achilles Tang. The Achilles did not ship, he will get them possibly friday. I will take the anthias and a beautiful clown tang home then. You guys who have not been there need to check it out, great fish and coral prices/selection.

I picked up the clown tang and 2 dispar's, they all look great. Not eating for me yet, but I'll keep you updated, gulp. Hector said he will be getting more fish in on tuesday, knowing him he will have a ton of good stuff.

Could someone that has been to the new store give me specific directions? Is it on the corner of 303 and Pearl? In a shopping mall or stand alone building? Signs out?
I'm coming in from Massillon and wanted to make sure I knew where I was headed before I get lost:)
Thanks

Thanks Rhodophyta I was the one. I just went today (friday). Lots of awesome looking fish. I got a Desjardini Tang, and a real nice looking Atlantic Blue tang. His fish all looked great and a real nice selection this trip.

I also got 2 really cool baby clowns with a green bubble anemone and a baby hippo tang for my nano tank i am setting up. I am looking forward to setting it up Sunday.

Go to Pearl and 303. Go south on Pearl. There will be a plaza in the west side of pearl just south of 303. There is a sign by the street. I think he opens at noon on the weekends.

Take Rt. 21 north. Right after 21 and I 77 merge, exit onto Rt 18 west (second ramp). Go west on 18 until you reach I 71. go north on 71 and exit at Rt. 303. Turn left onto 303 at bottom of exit ramp. Go to town center and turn left onto Rt. 42 (Pearl Rd.). The right lane ends, but just after that past Dairy Queen, turn right at the light into a parking lot. There is a strip mall on the left with Tropical Aquarium about in the middle. The entry door is to the right of the windows with the store sign above them. 1480 Pearl Rd is the address of the bowling lane at the end of the mall. Since this is almost an hour from Massilon, you might want to also visit some other shops in the area. If you go north on Pearl into Strongsville, Pet Emporium Located at: 15151 Pearl Rd , Strongsville, Ohio 44136 440-572-3474. West of the emporium is Greg's place, Aquatic Technology. I don't know if you would have time to add another store, but you might try Salty Critter.

Thank you Rhodophyta and ohclereefO2.
Great directions. Yes, I have Salty Critter on my "must go" to list also.
Am in the planning stages of setting up a 125 and want to check out set ups and prices on tanks. I want to combine all my tanks but the seahorse tank. The tank will be against a wall and the plumbing will go into the next room to keep things nice and neat.

Since my husband will be helping me with this big project, it's important to have him with me when we check these out and he can discuss plumbing with some people that know how this is done. I don't know any reefers local here in the Massillon, Canton area so it's off we go on our fact finding mission :)
Thanks again for the help~~

Yes the saltwater club in the Akron Canton area fizzled out over a decade ago. Their board experimented with a different meeting location and date almost every month, sometimes changing at the last minute so people went to the wrong location on the wrong day. Sure way to mess up attendance. A few of those people joined the freshwater clubs in Canton (SCALES) and Akron (GAAS), but no one has restarted a saltwater club. While in Brunswick you might check out the store in Columbia Station. Sometimes they have used tank setups at reasonable prices. While a lot of the livestock prices are off the wall, they do seem competitive with anyone when it comes to tanks.

Anyone deal with jeff corbett over at club reef mogador? he has a place out of his home, which has some nice peices. he can also order stuff at a very reasonable price at or below lfs price. very knowlegable. 1-866-332-6725

I have been to Sabalough's house (Steve) in Canton and he is a very helpful reefer. He has a nice in-wall reef tank and I'm sure you guys could trade corals if you have anything since he had a tank crash and is getting things back up right now. You may have something he wants and vice-versa.

Hope that helps,
-- Kevin

Thanks! I just posted on a thread he had for trades. I'm sure he can be of help to get us jump started on how to set up our new system.
You are all so much help--I appreciate it!

Directions!

Directions!

From Massilon,71 north to 303 west, about 2 miles to rt 42,go left 1/4 mile down on rs after Advanced Auto Parts. He does have a very nice store with resonable prices!

I think they open at noon all days and close at 8 most days or maybe 6 on some I forget the number out there is 330-460-4193

kevin. thanks for the kind words.

joshuaroot ive delt with jeff at clus reef a few times and he is a great guy to deal with. he also has an ebay store (club reef)

Wow just came from Hectors place Tropical Aquarium, he has some of the best coral prices I have seen. He has two softball sized carpet anenomes for like 30.00. Huge coral colonies are 15.00 to 45.00 not frags, baseball size favia's etc. and all of them look very healthy. He says people come and buy fish or special order them but very few people are looking at or buying his corals. Really a very nice store, clean open, well organized.
I am not sure if I want to spread the word or keep his store underwraps for my own personal honey hole.

man deffinatly glas i found this part of reef central, ive been dying to try and find a good LFS that would talk to you on a personal level and this just might be the place, thinking about heading up there friday if i can, looking to setup a medium sized tank
