Anyone ever bought from Pacific East AquaCulture?

Hmm.... not sure if this kind of post is allowed - if not, sorry!
Anyway, anyone have any experience with this store?
I was looking into it because it's almost all aqua/mariculture stuff.

Liz, I have bought livestock from them a few times and was really happy with everything i got. They have some INSANE zoas. The pictures don't do them justice. I was actually just getting ready to order a couple chalice frags from them last night. If you go through their page they have a section with frag packs that they pick. I bet that would be a great idea for a beginner.

I bought a frag pack from them when I was getting into the hobby and can give them a thumbs up.

I also believe that they're an RC sponsor.

Tim from ABC said he was there once. Very impressed. Nice people, great stuff. He recommended it when I was considering doing a few frag packs.

I think that's unlikely since it was $37 for me. But, maybe if Lizz lives out in Palmyra (I'm in Chili)...

Just took a look at those guys..I think the good prices equal ot the high shipping costs..Hard to understand there shipping costs with specials, sales and such..It's like playing poker with 5 different wild cards lol

There were a few lower cost corals that I really liked. But, by the time you added in the $37 shipping and $10 handling fees, the order total for 3 coral was just over $100. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'll buy locally.

Hey guys - I'm still deciding about this. Area code 14609 is in the $37 bracket for shipping. I'm not in a super hurry, so I think I'll just keep on eye on the stuff right now. I prefer to buy locally as well, but I like the aquaculture aspect of this site.

most frags purchased locally would be considered aquacultured- especially from other's tanks. Carbon footprint of local purchases should also be smaller- shipping and packing takes a toll. In general these sites make sense for large quantities, but smaller pieces aren't worth the hassle.

OK, I want these:

And these:

i could do maybe one or two of the above....drool

however...if a few people would like to get in on a bulk order......

We did this from them maybe 4 or 5 years ago - a bunch of us jumped together and ordered several corals each. The shipment was delayed several days due to a snowstorm and everything arrived dead. They were in regular contact through the whole thing and refunded the order, no questions asked, instead of trying to push us to make a claim with the shipper, or giving us "store credit" like some other companies have been known to do in similar situations.

So, never got the livestock, but two thumbs up for their customer service anyways.

Aside from an eBay auction I won once, the only other non-LFS coral purchase I've ever made was from these guys. I think it mailed a day later than I expected but since I was a non-profit they worked with me and gave me a great deal on a frag pack of different uncommon corals. I've spoken a couple times with the owner and his workers on the phone and they all seem like great people.
