Anyone ever had a Siganus chrysospilos (orange spot rabbitfish)

I think there are like 3 species of orange spotted rabbitfish that all look very similar. Here are a couple of pictures of mine and no I do not know which species I have :)

be careful they eat zoos and other things. I just bought on on tuesday and when I came home on Thursday he was spinning around in my 8 inch gigas just taking chuncks out of it. I had to rip the tank apart last night and get him out. I hope my Gigas lives.

Also, don't the orangespot rabbitfish get really huge? Probably too big for a 75g (if I remember right).

Ah cool. Then that will be plenty of room. I'm looking into getting a rabbitfish for my 90g so have been trying to pay attention to these things :-)

i've never owned one but i know someone who did....thing was over a foot long and all those pretty orange spots faded away. when it got to large for his tank he gave it to a lfs that put it in a huge sump . and they had a large display that it would have fit in... it was to plain...sorry

There also three different types of rabbit fish that are called orange spot or gold spot.

Siganus guttatus (ugly more common one)

The other two are

Siganus chrysospilos (has a blue body)

Siganus punctatus (this is the one in the pics above which has a green tone to its body color)
