anyone going to macna in pittsburge?

Just so you know 80 is under as usual heavy construction and with weekend and vacation travels expect areas of long delays I driven 80 several times this year and its not fun.

Well having travelled 80 too many times i can say that its 7 to 8 hours to get from here to the other end of PA. I was generally traveling at night or the early morning hours. Add some construction and it just adds to the hours.

I have been told by A.C. that the PA Pike is the best way to get there. He should know, he drives it enough. Rte. 80 takes you way north of Pitt.
Convoy? When is everyone leaving?
I will probably go sometime Friday morning. Not terribly early leaving time for lunch & stuff, arriving before dinner & hopefully rush hr. out there. The conference is about 45 min. east of the big city.

95 to the PA Pike??? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I like the look of Outer bridge crossing, 287 to 78 to 76 right into Pittsburgh.

I'll take my chances with the map ;)
Sorry to hear that you're not going. You should experience a MACNA, it's really a lot of fun.

I'll let you in on a secret.... Chaser really works ;)

See i learned something already LOL And ofcoarse there is always learning to fine tune becoming an incoherent drunk LOL Maybe it is more educational than i thought!

I like going over the bridges through Staten Island and then catching the way from there. If you mapquest it they send you some wacky way through Manhattan that will add 2 hours to your trip easy. Doe the gGoethels--much better.
'There is a lot of constuction around Pittsburgh but the conference is in Monroeville, which is a touch east of the city so you shouldn't hit that construction traffic. Hotel wise, there are rooms at the conference center Raddison, but I hear that is almost ful. Then there's a Holiday inn down the road with a shuttle.

As for parties, if you make it out of the hotel there will be a list of brew pubs in the program you can look up and visit, along with an aarticle about beer tasting.

As for Los, well, last MACNA he ended up sitting on the lap of and kissing my dear fiance, so you never know what will happen. :)

:( I had this Friday and the following Monday saved as days off, but plans changed, and I "lost" them. I guess I won't be going.....
