Anyone have a great place to get an Achilles Tang?

I am looking for as direct a place to get an Achilles tang from Hawaii. I live in southern California so I can get one quick from Hawaii. Anyone know any divers who get these? Please help.

Nice Achilles are tough, your best bet is to just keep your eyes open for a 3-4 inch specimen from whomever you purchase your livestock from. No secrets really involved for a source on these that I am aware of.

Wet Pets Hawaii is great. Les puts great care into his fish. The packaging is unbeatable and they are always healthy. He has a web page but it isn't updated with livestock. If you go to the reeffrontiers forum and they are listed un their sponsors.

I agree with Steve, Live Aquaria's Diver's Den has had a bunch in the last little bit.

They sell quickly though, so you better be at your computer hitting "refresh!"

I buy from both and I have to give Les at Wet Pets the nod on the achilles tangs, much better pricing. Quality from both places are hard to beat. I vote Wet Pets because of price and the fact that he is the one that catches the achilles tangs and you will be getting it direct from the source.

The last one I got was from Les. It died in two days. He does not catch the Achilles Tangs he sells. They come from Kona. He was helpful and refunded half my money which I thought was fair. He says that he no longer will house Achilles tangs any longer. I will keep trying though.

How curious. The company is in Hawaii, and you are in Hawaii. The site is newly constructed, and to search times I have tried have located it, yet you were lucky enough to find it. Will coincidences never cease?

The local wholesale runners here in SD have been getting some really nice, healthy small achilles tangs lately. I think a pretty good batch of them must have come in.
