anyone have a yellow assessor?

How big is your tank? They're really good fish, in general. Fairly hardy, eat easily. The main problem is that some can be a bit cryptic. They're not as bad in this regard as the blue assessors, but I've seen tanks where you go weeks between seeing them.

I have 2 of them, have had one of them since 2009. They are great fish, reef safe, and eat pretty much anything. If I was getting one I would make sure it was ORA and not wild caught. The wild caughts are much more expensive and can be harder to take care of. I would not put them in with aggressive fish or you will only see them at feeding time and not out swimming around. Also tank size does matter as in a huge reef they would probably disapear.

I have 2 ORAs got them earlier as I was beginning to stock my tank. I recently put in 4 small Royal Grammas and now rarely see the assessors. Never really seen any aggression of any fish aimed at them, but now only see them at feeding time.

I am pretty sure the ones Liveaquaria get are ORA but not %100 on that. You can ask your local LFS if they can get them if they bring in ORA fish.
