Hey. I have no connection with this place, but the bashing needs to stop. I have been there myself and it might not be the best fish store in the area, but leave them alone. Have a Great Day.

I guess you are talking about me. I'm only telling the true. I even telling the guys to go there to check it out for themself. I know they are new and have a lot of things to learn. That's why I said I hope they find someone good to take care the sw section. Have a great day

i went there this afternoon. i didnt see much saltwater stuff. they have some 15 mandarins in one tank though :) so i slipped out quietly. they did have some good collection of FW stuff. but i agree with others, everyone should make their own mind about any place and that too only after visiting:)

on a side note. what place would you guys recommend for some nice pipefish, or linckia?

Phong is right in every word he said, the sw section in this place truly sucked. all fish were sick, anemones bleached, and the sales guy can't even tell a customer if the fish was a butterfly or a tang! dude, that is just too much to try to make a buck...sorry this sounds like bashing but really, i'm only stating facts. ppl should go and check it out themselves and make their own judgement, i'm just trying to save you a trip...

went there last night and they just got their new shipment, they have a couple of hundreds of clams under pc's and 85% of their fish shipment are all dead. somebody save them!

wow...they have clams now..amazing...last time I came and Phong is right. I don't know how can they stay in business the way they operate right now.

I dropped by this Saturday just for kicks. Looks like they're setting up a few display tanks. The fish didn't seem particularly healthy at the time, but I didn't see anything dead. Their cube display tank was covered in diatoms; seems to have that new tank syndrome. Quite a few unhappy corals in there.

All in all, things didn't seem nearly as bad as previously stated. I ended up purchasing a pair of huge cleaner shrimp for only 10 bucks a pop. I hate to say it, but if this place makes a turnaround and keeps their prices as low as they are (I bought cleaner shrimp for 25 bucks each from another LFS last month), then I'll be going there more often.

Yup.. I hope they will get better and keep the same low price too.

BTW, I bought 4 cleaner shrimps there for only $6 each :smokin: . They are still kicking.. :D

i went there on sunday and trust me you dont wanna go there, even if the prices are low, i wouldnt buy from there. most of the fish are in really bad state. i wouldnt want to encourage them by buying from them. unless ofcourse they improve and take much better care of their live stock.

Wow, that sucks for the other Lucky Goldfish (no relation) that's up in Oaklandish area.

Was talking with Steve at Lucky Ocean, the other day about this, and asked him what is it with Chinese people and using the word lucky in the title.

The owner for the one in SJ is Vietnamese. What is the different? Sometimes I can't even tell  ..

personally I would not go there and also encourage reefers to be conscientious (not that you're not ) and not to buy from them...they are freakin trying to make a quick buck and killing at least half their lifestock at the same time. I was there a week ago all fish were either dead or dying, in bags! I think they bought this from local wholesale or imported them and left them in bags for customers to pick up, some were in there for days! I totally agree with snabss's comment about not encouraging them by not buying from them until they can take care of the lifestock and treat them well...stores like this depletes our planet's reefs for no reason and i really hate to day that, because someday I'd like to take my daughter scuba dive somewhere, hoping to see a thing or 2 :(

they had some pretty cool $20 clams though, most LFS are like $60 at the least. I wouldn't buy a fish from them though. Dolphin seems to have the healthiest fish.
