Boycott, King Aquarium on Story in San Jose, Ca. The service there is very rude, not to mention all the fishes are marked up double of what they should be.

Boycott, King Aquarium on Story in San Jose, Ca. The service there is very rude, not to mention all the fishes are marked up double of what they should be.

King is not that bad. Ive always had good service there. I think prices are pretty competitive at King. Seems like whoever made that post must be a fan of Lucky Gold Fish.

man this is getting carried away with Lucky Gold fish. i wonder if Lucky goldfish is really flagging or just some haters. how can anyone be sure? please let me know if you know who is the flagger? i never been to Lucky Goldfish before so no a fan but the posting with the pic doesn't really help it is almost free avertising. negative but still avertising. might lead some customer to just see if it is really true.

I agree! I'm always met with good service at King. Some are definiately more knowledgable than others, but that's true everywhere. The best part about going to King though, the eggrolls at King Eggroll! am i right?!

In case you're unware of Lucky gold fish's dirty game, they will flag anything on craigslist that they think is competing with them. They will mostly flag livestocks sold by aquarists. They tends to leave expensive fish such as rare flowerhorn and arowana alone, and they also don't flag SOME aquarium equipments.

Other than that, they will flag away all other listings. Amazing how they do it, they have enough accounts to remove a listing in minutes. Wanna try it out? say something negative about LUCKY GOLD FISH, check back a few minutes later, it'll be gone.

do y'all mean "SHADY" GoldFish? YEa hey've been flagging my posts as welll...heck I'm only trying to sell some frags. Also I think some LFS in the area are also affected by their flagging...

and speaking of LFS, I came across a LFS - Neptune Aquatics, a few miles away from LGF, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful, worlds apart from those at LGF...the saltwater guy at Neptune is very knowledgeable about corals...I think they carry some very exoctic cichlids as well..Oh they will have a blowout sale this Sat/Sun as I think they want move some tanks or do some remodeling...the owner told me too bad their posts keep getting flagged by LGF, so not many ppl know about their sales except some lucky few because i think it is at least 30% off...anyways, I plan on checking them out on the weekend...think I spotted some bam bams and radioactive dragon eyes...

This might be a stupid question, but how does one figure out who flagged his/her postings on craiglist? Just curious so if I post on craiglist and somebody flag me down, I know who did it.

you don't know...you just get an email saying it was flagged and taken down. no explanation or anything

Hmm.. just found a bunch of "stop flagging people's posts" on craigslist. Instead of Lucky Goldfish though, they're all King Aquarium now. Funny thing is, at least one of them is exactly the same as a Lucky Goldfish post, with a find and replace done on Lucky Goldfish to King Aquarium.

Not that LG is definitely behind all of this, but it smells fishy to me (no pun intended).

im go ahead and say King Aquarium has nothing to do with any of this. i dont recall them ever using craigslist to promote their store so flagging other posts has no benefit to them. "flagging" has only become a problem since LGF started to advertise on craigslist.

I also saw those "flagging" issues on CL. Flagging someone else's post for one's self-interest is just foul play.
