Anyone here get that pair of flame angels from DD?

I had them in my cart almost immediately after they posted, a few seconds later I hit finalize order and... "you have no items in your cart"... damn you fish snipers!! :D

 DD is cutthroat. I learned a while back to go to the site and hit the refresh button every 30 seconds when something I really, really wanted was due to post.

(I didn't get them. Don't have the room, unfortunately. :p)

You can sign up to be notified by email, which is useful because you get a 5-days-a-week "sneak peek" at the fishes and corals and inverts that might be added to the site later that day. They also send email notification to alert you that the new "items" have been posted. However, in my experience they frequently post the new additions before they send out notifications. I usually start checking around 5:30 if there's something I want (new additions get posted around 5:30-6:30 PM, EST).

I was refreshing the page pretty rapidly and actually had them in my cart at one point. But just like guys who try to rob casinos; I never made it to the finish line.

I'll probably get some flak for this, but the Africanus is a beautiful fish as a small juvenile, but I'm not so impressed with the coloring as an adult.

That said, I've never seen one in person, and huge angels like that generally have great personality.

I am sure there is some "bot" or "program" similar to an eBAY sniper program that allows for you to quick checkout without getting shafted. Sort of like the programs that used to buy tickets from ticketmaster before the "human recognition" software was put out that makes you enter that stupid word in the box that is all wavy and hard to read ;)

They look pretty awesome as adults too, in person they look much better than the adult coloration in photos. They still retain some of their vibrant juvenile colors on the ends of the fins (at least the adult I saw had this)

I highly doubt anyone has developed a sniping program for Divers' Den. There are just a enough hard core fish nerds around that will hit refresh every minute for an hour.

...it's not a bad idea though

Every minute? Try every second. ;)

...all it takes is one fish nerd that knows how to program then blaam, im about half way done with my programming degree and it doesnt seem that difficult.....bet someone who knows what they are doing could write something like that in a night easily.
