Anyone know anything about Fish Lukemia?

12:50 pm ... He's packed up the laptop and having it put away for security. Nurse is in getting IV hooked up and ready, so I guess the surgery will be soon.:worried:

7:40pm I just spoke to nurse's station in Recovery. He's still in recovery and doing well, though still out cold. Depending on how quickly he comes too, they are going to try and have him back to his room by 9:30 or 10 pm. Probably won't know many details until the docs are in to see him either late tonight or early tomorrow. The nurses won't give me much detailed information.

Thanks again for all the support everyone.

Glad to hear from you guys! I know he will not be feeling well for a couple of days. My prayers are with you both. Please let us know how things come out.

I hope that the children are taking things well.

Paul

10 pm Update:

He's out of recovery and back to his room. Says he feels almost as good as he did before going in for the surgery, other than a bit sharper pain at the incision site on his neck/shoulder. They took "3 pieces" of the largest lymph node and GLUED him back together ...no stitches. (Wonder if they used Coral/Super Glue?

They told him that it may be a week or two before they have results from the tests they are going to perform on the "pieces/frags". :p Hopefully they will let him come home during that time.

He's had a chance to at least have a cup of tea.

10:15 pm Update:

They are giving him a dye now and will be taking him for the CATscan before midnight.

1-2 weeks!!!!!!!!

thats insane. They can't tell anything by just looking at them?

Man, Ive been watching way too much Greys Anatomy....

Get well Reefneck!!

yeah stay at home mothers watch tooooo much t.v.!!!! sometimes testing labs take that much time. Its terrible because you have to sit and wait.

And it probably IS reef-safe superglue. It was invented for that purpose.

If they're running cultures, those take a prescribed amount of time to grow, which means they sit in the dark and grow for x number of hours, and that time is built into the estimate.

Here's good wishes for you.

Well shoot, If I had known they were going to use Super Glue Gel I could have brought my own and saved some $$$!

Nurse just came in about 20 mins ago. She said they called and wanted to do the PETscan today and I had to go NPO (Or something like that) which mean nothing by mouth...No Food, No Drink. She told them to do it tomorrow (Friday). She told me she didn't dare aske me to go 2 days in a row with no food or drink. lol

Time for another nap after lunch. I seem to be extra sleepy today. :(
