I'm sure you already know this, but some peppermint shrimp are mean f-ers. I had one confuse a small anemone (aptasia) with my RBTA and slice the crap out of him. He is in the sump keeping busy there, other 2 stayed in the display.

usually one or two until i zap em with some X but there is about 20 in there now.
although the majority of them are on two baseball sized rocks with zoos that I got from the same place. I wonder where apts came from LOL

Thanks for the heads up. There isnt anything in the tank that I think they would bother. I am worried about the clowns bothering any new comers tho.

LOL Nice! that 2-3 inch clearance has to be a PITA though. I bought all new performance struts and lowering springs for the eclipse and I havent put them on yet for fear that it will be too low, and I dont even drive it in the winter. Next time i make the trip out to the island ill have to pit stop to see your tank and make sure your taking good care of my car. haha

I killed aptasia by caking salt on the area they were growing. I've never heard of anyone else trying this but it made sense to me.

Honestly ,when it comes to aptasias,I use superglue.Pull the rock and cover them in it ,never see any again.

Lystmata wurdemani( peppermints) are bad.imo They've ravaged a number of my acans and zoanthus over the years. Kalk paste administered with a syringe to cover them up and fill their hole keeps them at bay for me. Some of the neighboing zoanthus won't like the paste though.

Hey tom, I thought of making a bit of kalk paste but like you mentioned would be bad since the majority of them are on the 2 rocks with large zoo colonies. the others that are sporadic throughout the tank will definitely get the paste or x. By the way tom the one polyp frag I got from you 6 weeks ago has already turned into 3 polyps and 2 babies. Pretty exciting for a slow grower.
