anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

I'm now running three wp's on my 210gal. Two WP40's and a WP60. If the 60 had come out sooner I never would have bought the the 40's....

I will have 2 wp40s in a 180 but mine is a peninsula setup. Your rockwork and return flow/placement has a lot to do with what you will need. When I ordered the 2nd wp40 it was a toss up between that and 2 wp25s as these would be placed in the bottom 2/3 area of the glass (either side of the centered rock ridge) ... I still may ad a wp25 later if I have a dead area but I doubt I will.

So you think 2 WP60's is perfect for a 6 ft 225 gal. I was thinking 2 40's

Definitely go two WP60's!

Over the course of a few months the 40's will lose some power (seems to be the nature of these pumps) and you'll wish you had more power (happened to me).

If one of my current two WP40's dies I'm ordering another wp60.

Everyone think that one wp60 should be good for a standard 55? Or would you eventually get another smaller one and run tandem?

i think a wp60 would be overkill.
i would go with 2 wp25`s or
2 wp40`s on low/med (cause everyone outgrows a 55 sooner or later)

i have a wp40 and an mp40 on my 90 and i could knock the water out of it if i wanted to.

Thank you

Cleaning I do every month or so. Some people feel the need for it more often.

Just turn the cage counterclockwise (If I remember correctly) and then pull everything apart and scrub it with a toothbrush.

If it gets caked with coraline then soak it in vinegar for 24 hrs then rinse well and put back in the tank.

Pretty much the same as cleaning anything else.

Yes they do this. But if you soak it in vinegar and clean the impeller it runs like brand new. I clean mine once a month and have had it a little more than a year. Still runs like the day I got it :)

So I've had my wp40's for a little over a year and one stopped working. The controller still works but the powerhead doesnt. I cleaned it and nothing. I tried it on 2 different controllers. Anything else I can try?
