Anyone use this skimmer?

Tunze makes a good skimmer so i'm sure it would work. As far as a 12g tank goes, i would just do frequent water changes and scrap the skimmer idea. Its to small of a tank imo. Save yourself some money! You won't hear that to much in this hobby!

well, im going to have to disagree with luke on this one..
i think that because of the lack of buffering capacity in such a small system and scince things can change chemically so quickly, that it is paramount to run carbon and skimmers on nano systems.
all of the nano reefs i've owned that have enjoyed long term stability have had filtration designed for 50-100g systems on them.
granted i am into sps, and if you only wanted some shrooms and zoes and a fish or 2, you could probably get away with less and be fine, but i like to error on the side of caution with nano reefs.

and i think the tunze 9002 is a great skimmer for your 12g, put a black back on your tank and you'll hardly notice it, and if it's a pod or cube, even better...

okay..thanks...i'm glad that you guys responded...i noticed that most people did not get a response about this particular skimmer...i do have a AP...I'll have to find a way to make it fit..how do you keep your calcium levels and such right for sps? Do you have a doser or just add the supplements
