I am not having the microbubble problem. I think the lid may not be on correctly. The lid only fits one way as their is a notch for the cable. The pump can be difficult to get fully seated inside, you need to gently twist it back and forth as you push, it should be flush with the bottom of the body and not bulging out further, their is about 2 mm further it needs to go in beyond what it easily slides in.
I would not use silicon because it shouldn't be necessary and will look ugly.
I have been playing around with this all morning as I spoke to Axel and he gave me some suggestions. Roshan, everybody that has one now, has one from the first batch. The fundemental problem is two fold. The L from the airline has to be inserted to the perfect depth. Once this is achieved the problem is that the hole that the screw covers to restrict the air flow is too far back and the screw does not cover it properly. Basically, when you have the L inserted correctly you will likely collect a cup of water. If you use a longer screw you can get the necessary range of adjustment to fix this. I just faxed a letter of my findings and some illustrations of the corrections necessary and I was told the parts will be corrected and replacements sent out ASAP. Roshan, I am interested in any pictures you can provide. I have yet to get any skimming but I have not been running it without interruption long enough to get anywhere.
CamBarr, when I get a chance I will get some pics, i haven't forgotten.
