anyone using magnetic ballasts anymore?

Make sure you get the right bulb with the ballast My Ushio only lasted 3 months on my Hamilton mag ballast, but I love my XM bulb.

What other bulbs have you tried on this ballast? Radium by any chance?

I run a SE Radium 250 on a Blue Wave 3 (HQI) and I love the results.

I had magnetic ballasts for years, but recently got the dimmable Lumateks. And I really like them. Since they have the option to run either a 150w or 250w bulb, and you can also run either at 175w or 275w like a magnetic ballast would. So its great, IMO. I had 150w Pheonix bulbs in when I made the switch and I did 1 ballast at a time so I could do a side by side comparison, and the color was identical when ran at 175w.
