anyone with tangs, that DONT feed nori?

SuperNerd:

LOL. I used that bottle to feed the Mandarins and to keep the other fishes from eating their food but couldn't keep the hermit crabs from going in to eat the pellets so I just stuffed the bottle neck with sand and left it in there.

My cleaner wrasse, LMB, foxface and Naso all love Nori. I roll mine up like a stogi cause I find that leaving large parts of the sheet hanging in the tank causees it to fall apart and drift everywhere.

My tang and foxface usually eat the whole thing in about 2 hours. I usually put it in around 6 P.M. and remove it before the lights go out if there is any left.

My tang eats Spectrum pellets as well as a frozen mix I made but if you want to feed just a prepared food, be ready to feed like 6 times a day. Tangs love to eat!

Good luck!

When I get live gracilaria in, I don't feed my tang any nori at all. When the gracilaria is all ate, I throw the nori back in. Personally, I don't think nori is necessary unless you don't have a good source and variety of live algae for your tang to graze. I have a small stand of caulerpa, some ulva, and the gracilaria to keep mine busy for most of the month. Mine is a juvenile sailfin, indo-pac type.
