Thanks for the information, are you still using the Brutes? Thats what Im using, thanks
Yes, I'm still using the Brutes and they are still reading 0 Phosphate so I'm not too worried about them leeching.
Looking good mate, you guys and your LED giggle lights.......... bloody aircraft will prob try and land on your house when you light that strip up at night i reckon.....
Keep the updates and pics flowing my friend
Thanks Biggles! There will be some more pics this week as I continue to get the stand and equipment ready for the tank and sump. Another week or two and I should have them both. Been a looong wait and I'm ready for it to be over. Seeing how awesome your tank is along with others....I'm ready to start mine!
Nice! I've been looking to get ConeS. Let us know how it is once you start using it!
I will for sure post up a video of the skimmer doing it's thing once I have the tank up and running.
I need some help or ideas for my refug. I will have a nice area of space for the fuge so my main goal for it is to provide the most benefit to the system as it can. Is it best to:
- Run sand or miracle mud or a mix
- Run a deep sand/mud bed or just a 1-2"
- Best to use just Chaeto for macro or are others helpful as well? I was thinking about adding some Gracilaria for the Tangs I plan to add
- Live rock in this section? I was really planning to put most of the live rock live in the skimmer section with a small pump to keep detritus from settling.
- When is it best to "go live" on the refug area? Do you wait until the tank cycles or from day one?
Thanks in advance for any help.
