Apex EB8 Outlet Will Not Turn On

I've got one outlet, outlet #3 that has worked fine for a long time. All of a sudden it is stuck off and won't respond to manual control or the light program that it usually runs. When I check the status, it says that it is on but obviously it isn't.

I've tried powering the whole system down and restarting, no help. I also gave the EB8 a few taps, unplugged everything, re-plugged, no help either.

Can anyone help me?

I assume you tried manual on/off and that didn't change the state? If so then it sounds like a bad outlet and the unit will need to be repaired.

Yeah the manual on and off doesn't work, either done at the display module or through my web browser.

I'll have to find out about service then.

Well the response that I get wasn't what I was hoping for. This really sucks, but hey what can I do besides never buy a Neptune product again.

Boo.

Buy a new one or take it out and send it in, which is easier said than done, at which point it will be repaired at my cost. The warranty is one year, I've had it one year and one month.

I'm not sure about everybody else, but a controller is a pretty critical part of my system. If I have the time, resources, and equipment to re-invent how I power and control everything in my system, I wouldn't need the controller now would I?

It sucks but one year is one year, and I feel your pain.

No you certainly wouldn't need it. However we are putting electrical items in a very close proximity to saltwater, I have an expectation of failure due to this situation. I also have purchased one spare EB8 for my system that way if I do have one that fails it will be plug, rename and play. I can live without some of the add on modules for a week or so, but not the power center. Can you pay for the repair up front and have them ship you one while yours is getting fixed?
