Guys, we have just posted up the release candidate for the new Apex Firmware. If you are so inclined, please give it a whirl and post in this thread any issues you may have. Barring any major showstoppers, this will be the release version of the firmware. Thanks for all of your help in making the Apex what it is!

Please read this instruction page carefully, especially if you are new to doing firmware updates. Remember, no firmware updates should ever be tried over a wireless connection.

Download this new version from this page:

cool, loss of 12V supply now triggers a power failure. I can relax a little now. I did not check if loss of power on the AquaBus triggers power failure too, as that shouldn't happen on my setup.

Thanks!

Upgrade was smooth. Seems to me that performance is quicker now. It still did not fix my new EB4 tile that lists like a temp gauge. Oh well still waiting.

Thanks.

I need someone that is using the AI SOL Blues and lightening to see if it is working for them. I can get the clouds and dimming, but no lightening. This has not worked on any of the beta versions.

Thanks

Justin, lightning does work for me now with Sol, and with my new Acan Prism LEDs (which used the Sol interface)

I have been holding off but I think I am going to give this a whirl when I get in tonight. I am assuming I need to back up my settings when I install this. In a perfect world will all my setting remain or do I have to reprogram everything?

I checked with the tech staff on your issue John, here is what they said:

The issue is caused by a PMX module being plugged into the system at AquaBus address 5, a probe was renamed while it was installed. Then the probe module was deleted and a EB4 was installed in its place. To
correct the issue:

Telnet into the controller.
Delete the file probe.cfg with the command 'del probe.cfg'
Reboot/restart the controller.

All the probes will revert back to their default names including the EnergyBar Amp readings.

Hope this helps. If you need help with the whole Telnet thing, check out the Comprehensive Reference Manual in the support->documentation area of our web site.

Russ, Terence- et al,

I am here still working on this stupid lightening. I realize this is trivial, but I want to figure it out. I am at the latest version of the Beta, and I even updated the VDM module, but the version in the dashboard stays the same.

I get ZERO lightening.

I rebooted the Apex via the display, Network Settings, Restart. The VDM keeps the green light, the Apex flashes Yellow and after 5 minutes I pulled the power supply (Running DC8's) and plugged it back in, still a yellow flashing light. After 5 more minutes I pulled the VDM Aquabus cable, and rebooted it (pulled power) and still a yellow, killed power, removed the Breakout Box connector, it reboots and I reconnect the devices. Still no lightening.

Removed the Breakout Box, restarted the unit via the Display, same thing, had to remove the VDM before it would reboot. Once rebooted, I connect it back up, but no lightening.

What is causing the Apex to hang with the two items plugged in?

Thanks

Justin

Woo hoo... thank you Terence! Even though I am pretty sure I did not install anything on address 5 and I know I didn't rename anything on the system... your trick worked.

My unit is now 100%.

Thanks again.

If you do shrink a tile and it goes off-screen, just exit without saving, then edit the dashboard again.

That's a work around, they need to add a code that if X axis is -1 then X axis = 0 That would keep the tile on the screen at all times.

That has to be put into the release. Imagine all the people who don't use these forms losing tiles. There's going to be a flood of call about this.

Another fix around would be to restrict dropping outside of the container div

Liking the new firmware but whenever I insert the video tile with my IP cam's (Foscam Webcam) address, the dashboard resets to the default, losing ALL tile layout, not just the video tile.

For example, I can arrange all the tiles I want, save, reload, and it looks as configured.

I can then insert the video tile, and leave the URL unconfigured. Reload: all looks good, just a white video tile (as expected).

If I edit the tile with my camera's URL:
http://192.168.1.20/videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=xxx
save and reload, then ALL tiles are reset to default size/position.

Bug?

BTW: Camera = Foscam network IP camera nvision FI8910W
