API General Cure vs PraziPro

Hi everyone!
I posted about my clownfish already and some weird looking poop he was passing. He's not as bloated as he was yesterday, but he's not swimming around much at all and he's breathing rapidly. He normally is a bit of a spaz and is constantly begging for food.
Anyway, I was told to dose him with PraziPro by some of the other reefers on here. Unfortunately my LFS is closed today. The local pet shop has something called API General Cure.
Should I go ahead and get the API General Cure, or wait and get the PraziPro tomorrow?
I don't have any experience with either product.

Well general cure has a Lower concentration of praziquental but it also has metro. Metro in my experience is better for an internal parasite. Bloating/weird poop may not only be internal parasites. It can be hard to tell a lot. If the fish is in a hospital tank then I don't think it wi hurt to follow the directions for the API meds. Don't use it in your DT.

He is still in my DT tank. He's actually swimming around more now. He didn't eat today, but at least he's swimming around more and not breathing as fast.
I'll go to the LFS tomorrow and pick up PraziPro. Thanks!!

I'm a fan of Prazi and highly recommend it. It's completely 100% reef safe. Follow the directions exactly. After you've run Prazi for 5 - 7 days do a large WC and wait 4 days before dosing Prazi again. Do not go longer than 4 days or shorter, very important to be exactly 4 days. This is the time it takes for the parasite eggs to hatch but not long enough to be mature enough to lay eggs. Eggs will not be affected by Prazi, this is the reason behind the 4 day wait as well as the reason for 2 doses of Prazi.

Thank you! I'm going to the LFS today to pick some up.
So, just to make sure I understand you correctly... I dose today and do a water change in 5-7 days. Then 4 days after the water change I dose again.

You can skip the water change if your filtration capacity is up to par. Hikari advised me the water change was only to drop ammonia caused by the flukes dying. I have dosed PP with fish somewhere between 30-40 times and I have never done a water change like the bottle reads

D, I've never heard of that before. I've always done a WC after 7 days as part of my normal WC schedule since I normally do 10% weekly or 20% every two weeks.

So you don't do WC's? What do you dose for supplements?

I can just dose the tank with this product correct? Then dose again after 4 days? That should be sufficient? I saw some stringy stuff on my clown. I have only had them a week. I am in the middle of switching tanks. My qt is down due to leak. My new tank is set up however I used live rock and sand from my DT. Is that going to effect my new tank? Should I dose both tanks?
