April Meeting

We are thinking about having the next meeting on Friday the 15th or Sat the 16th. So far we don't have a location, does anyone want to volunteer to host? Please let us know.

Also, If you have dry rocks laying around and want to donate, please bring it to this meeting. I'll host an aquascape meeting at my house in june and I will need rocks so please bring them if you can. TIA

Well, you should know by now, we only do what we feel right at the time so planing does not matter j/k this month was going to be rock works but no one gave me any rocks so we got no rocks to work with LOL I think that meeting probably better in June at my house once people bring rocks ahead of time so I have time to put them together.

I actually laid out a scape on the floor of my garage yesterday, before I put the rocks in a tub to start curing. Took some picks, got a scape I liked. Interested to know what people use to attach rocks. I was just planning to use the standard plumbing epoxy stuff.

its very simple, situate the rocks the way you like, then drill small guide holes on a very slow speed (so you dont crack the rock) then you "bore"out the small holes big enough to fit fiberglass rods through. once the rods are in place you can start to fill in the gaps with aquamend or any other type of adhesive putty. this will make your structure very strong. It does take ome time and patience but the results are well worth it!

I'll be at the meeting! I just called HD in San Rafael and they have aquamend at 5.77 a stick.

Is that for the large 7" stick? I think HD carry the small 4" ones
