Not all the polyps are opening completely yet but progress is seen in the colony.

What coral do you think it is? Really reminds me of a branching black Mixrathis, black sun coral. Smaller polyps then my dendros in past but larger then suncoral.

Thanks! I cant wait...in 2 weeks I finaly get a macro lens for my SLR so I no longer have to use my point and shoot.

Power has been out since Saturday. Running my system off of 3 deep cycle batteries and 3 inverters. Too bad my co-op board won't let me run a generator on my patio. I have 2 extra batteries on the charger at my parents home and plan to pick them up this evening once they are fully charge.

Geez good luck! that sucks. seems like they should provide a generator if they won't let you run one.

I have fought with the board to get one. I have even given them to proposals from a electrical engineer/contractor for design of the system and including sound control.

Thanks. I have seen to many systems gone down to lack of back up power. I have all my equipment supported right now. All I am going to do is order an extra battery back up for my vortech.

That's ridiculous that you can't have a generator yet have to deal with prolonged power outages. I have a Honda inverter generator it is extremely quiet and very compact. They should at least let you guys use something like that. Best of luck!

I agree. I have a genorator that can power all my tanks and all the equipment, even the MH's. It saved the tank a ton of times.

I feel ya Mike :(

My power has been out since early Saturday as well. I hooked my tank up to my Powersource 400 backup battery system. That gave me about 5 hours of back up power to run my pumps and heaters. It died out on me, and I had to break out my Honda generator.

It's been a long night, and I feel your pain. Power just finally came back on a half hour ago. Luckily my tank is fine, and I had no losses. It was a pretty wicked storm. I hope you make it through without any losses.
