aquafuge pro vs. mega flow sump model 4

hi,I have a 120 gallon fowlf with a rena xp3,aqua medic turbo flotor 1000 skimmer and powerheads.this system has been up for a year and doing good but I want to add more filtration.i have been looking at the aquafuge pro refugium and the mega flow sump filter model 4 at doctor fosters and smith.both systems seem to be good but does anyone recommend one or the other.please give any info you can.pro cons anything.

Refugiums require a lower flow to keep algae/pods etc thriving. Sumps can have higher flow. Have you considered decent powerheads in the tank like Tunze Nanostreams?

Whichever you think you need or can afford. I have no idea what your rock design looks like, how much room is available, and what you want to replace.
