just have have a SCWD on my 125. the aqua globe is for my 5.5 nano, where I dont have room for the larger PHs and no closed loop for attach a SCWD

I got a couple in today, the 100 and 200 model. The outlet that water comes out of is very big, around the same size at my maxijet 900s and 1200s.

I will keep people updated on how they work in the long run, but I am happy with them now! Man they are TINY!

Do the aquaglobes come with any type of current deflector like a maxi-jet or aquaclear?

Yes, wavemaker will eat up there impeller. Only powerhead i've found that really can stand up to a wavemaker is maxijet.

Guess you must have missed the question above JG1's. Do the aquaglobes come with a current deflector, like the slip on fitting flap on the maxi-jets?

the aqua-globes dont come with a deflector for the water. The maxi-jet deflector slip is the same size as the out let on the aqua-globes, hope that makes sense, I am sure you can "rig" it some wat to make it work.

I have had mine running for a little over a week now, and they are wonderful. The suction cups work fine. Make sure you scrape the grass with a razor before you attach them. And they are quite!!

how long can a maxi last on wavemaker

The aqu-globes will not last long on a wavemaker.....the only powerheads that will really hold up are the maxi-jets!

I've had my maxis on a wavemaker for nearly a year. No problems so far.
