Any updates? I got my CO-1 today and it is sitting at my feet at work. It's going to get cleaned
Where'd you get it? They seem to be sold out everywhere!

I lucked out when a reefer on another forum decided to go with another skimmer. He had one that was brand new and still in the box. I just dropped it in the tank a few hours ago.
I think it's around 10mm off the base of the cup (if thats what you are referring to). the hose itself is slightly bigger than the sleeve off the cup. Hence the zip tie included.Does anyone knows what's the size of the drain plug for these guys?
Been trying to look for a hose of the same size but couldn't seem to find. I've tried 12/16 Ehiem hoses but they don't seem to fit snugly.
I added this skimmer to my sump about a month ago, and I'm very pleased with it.
Soooooo, bought the C0-1 last month while I was planning for a 54 corner tank. Plans changed (of course) now have a 120 (4x2x2) coming. Now ...... is the C0-1 going to be undersized based on your experience? It hasn't even seen water yet!

Unfortunately Yes!
It will be undersized and will most likely never idle.
It will be fine for the interim while the tank is cycling but when you start getting it stocked you will need a bigger skimmer.
I wouldn't worry because it will sell fast on the used good forums. If you can return it that would be ideal though.
CO-3 would be good if you are going to stock the system well.
CO-2 would work too but less air at just over 700lph
Figured as much! Since they are so hard to get right now I might try to sell locally or just lose the 25 bucks to ship to someone and go for the right sized.

Sorry for the late replyI also just bought a 4'x2'x2' 120g and was planning on using the CO-1 because the specs say it's rated for up to 175g systems. Why would it not work for a 120g DT with a 30-35g sump?
Since I already have, I am going to give it a go. Running Zeovit so like to dry skim anyway..... we will see and go from there. In the past, I have been guilty of over skimming imo (SWC250A running askoll pump on a 150g idled over 50% of time)
Sorry for the late reply
their 175 gal rating is generous IMO and that would be if you were going FOWLR. A six to eight inch body and 750 to 1000+lph would be much more efficient and allow you flexibility with stocking levels. The larger body and increased air will allow a better range of tunability on the skimmer. The co1 may work but most likely would just continue skimming all the time without idle.
I asked Aquamaxx about this and got a response from Larry right away. He said he would have no problem using either the Co-1 or 2 in a 120g if it were his tank but it comes down to some other factors as well. One of those factors being room in the sump for the larger footprint of the CO-2. Also, he did say that if I had the room in my sump, the CO-2 may be a better option if I planned on having tank more heavily stocked (like you said). He also said that the CO-2 may be more inconsistent in a tank of my size when it is less stocked.
I think to be safe, I'm going to move up to the CO-2 so that I don't have to worry about whether my tank is stocked above what the skimmer can appropriately handle.
