AquaMedic 250watt ballast

Hello,

I bought my aqua medic pendants and ballasts from you about two years ago and one of the ballasts seems to be broken. It wont fire a bulb up and makes a humming noise. Any advice on fixing it or is it completly burned out? Cant seem to contact aquamedic, thought you might be able to help.

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your post, it could be various reasons why this may happen, sometimes a recent change of the bulbs, water damage ( lets hope not), or inadequate ventilation may cause this problem. It does sounds to me if there is humming that there is power going to the ballast, I would check the connections in the socket to make sure that they are making contact. I hope some of this helps.
