OK...you all made me realize my mistake...but can't take back as the return period is over so I am stuck with it...

AquaMedic BioTherm Controller and 1000w element...paid $125 plus shipping...looking to get $100...

This is new...I opened it and plugged it in and heated a bucket of water to 80 degrees to make sure it worked incase I needed to return it...put it back in the box while waiting to get my tank set up...

BTW...for those that made sure I was thinking stupid! I now have two 250 watt elements set to turn on .5 degrees apart!

yeah...the controller is the biggest part of it...the two 250w biotherm elements I just bought were only $22 a piece...

I have programmed sort of a safety circuit into my Aquacontroller 3 that should help incase of a temp probe failure...won't help if the DC-8 has a problem...but I haven't heard many of those...mostly temp probe failures...
