Hi Brett,
Corals encrusting pretty fast and blending in with the scape. Great!
I'm in awe of your fish collection, very cool choices.

Happy Reefing!!

cool build Brett, I really like your tank, sweet setup! I am getting ready to oust my yellow tang too. He is getting a little too aggressive and I want to get a few new wrasses and a flame angel.

The earl and rhomboid are still in QT at the moment. I think when they go in Im gonna pull the Labouti for a bit and give them some time to get settled in. *I think he'll leave the earlei alone but the rhomboid is about the same size and I think that might be a problem at first. The only reason they are still in the QT at this point is because the earlei is so tiny and I cant bring myself to move him. Im not sure how long Ill be able to hold out but I want to let him grow a little cause Im not sure he can handle the flow in the display yet.

Thanks for posting the questions, as much as I love all the nice comments I also love talking fish with all of you.

Mixing wrasses are very tricky and the already estabilshed ones are very temperamental. Some leave the new guys alone but some chase them around and keep them in a corner.*
I added a flasher wrasse and the already established Solorensis turned into such a bully. Anything wrasse he takes after them.*
Luckily it was easy for me to catch the flasher wrasse as he was cornered near the wavemaker pump and hiding.*
Even the 6 line wrasse has a bad reputation.*
I wanna keep a harem of filament/flasher wrasse in my new system. Im planning not to add any fairy wrasses till the other docile wrasses settle in.*
Lesson learned :D

The fish and corals are looking great! Is it just the photo or is that chalice the size of a dinner plate:eek:

Thanks, yeah it's huge. I've had it almost ten years probably. I don't have any place to put it so I just proped it up against the back.

Thanks buddy, I still don't understand all the settings as well as I would like to but I'm getting better. I should get a book and read it but I'd rather stare at the fish, haha. I'll keep practicing.

Bro! Your tank is growing Fast! Wow!!!! Looks great!

Forgive me John, I completely missed this post. I didn't realize how long its been since Ive checked this thread. Thanks for all the complements. My colonies have really taken off lately. The tank is full of frags still though, I cant wait till some of the small stuff starts to take off. Ive officially ran out of room for SPS to the point that I have some really nice stuff on my frag rack and I dont know what to do with it. Its so hard no to over crowd stuff, it seems there's never enough room, LOL. Im trying so hard not to add any rocks.

On a fish note, I evicted the labouti wrasse this morning. Hes decided to just swim around being a pest all day long and with the earlei and rhomboid in the acclimation box I just dont trust to release them with him acting like that. I might try another small one later when some of the others are a little bigger.

Yessss....thats great news...more frags.....:D
I am sure there will be space to add some more...:)

Brett - your tank is looking fantastic the colors are awesome

Thanks Pete, like you Im always trying to keep nutrients low while feeding a lot. It's a balancing act at times but I think it's starting to pay off.

RN, I'm officially out of room for SPS now, I'm just gonna watch them grow now. Im gonna add a select few more fish as I find them and call it stocked. As much as I like adding corals it's getting pretty packed and I don't wanna add anymore rock. I'm ready to stop touching and start watching. I know, easier said than done right?
