aquarium safe paint

nothing sticks to PVC for any period time. plus you will leach toxins into youre tank. there is gray pvc available. it really doesnt matter what color you use. it will be covered in coralline soon. covers faster if you use course sandpaper on it. REEF-ON!!!

Well, I have heard that krylon fusion will stick and won't leach toxins if cured properly. ......Did I just answer my question? :)

How about getting spa flex, I believe they make it in black.

nano4brains, not that you're not welcome, you definitely are... but why are you hanging out in FMAS? Did you recently move down here? Then you'll have to come by the meeting and put a face to the name. If not, welcome anyway... we just like to know our contributers.

Or, you can re-do your viewable piping using black pvc pipe and fittings, I really think that the tank looks way more natural when you can't see the pipes against a black background, It's true coralline will eventually not "soon" be covered by coralline however this process could take months and also once in a while you get a chunk chipped off and voila white pvc showing up.
I got mine online from http://www.savko.com/

ALOT of people have used Krylon fusion paint for overflows, misc plumbing etc. Just make sure the paint cures for a few days before putting it in the tank.

I painted 2 float switches on my 30 gal with fusion paint black, no problems so far.
