Aquascapes Help!!

I know you do your best to get it done but the real problem is with the rock you use
All of them are look the same which don't give you a lots of options what about trying
Drill the rocks and stack each two or three pieces together then try to make you Aquascapes
I know it's hard but they will look great

Oh man this brings back terrible memories. It took me weeks to figure out a scape that I liked. Then we went through the whole
Process again, then my tank busted. Gonna have to do this again soon. I like the last one the best, but if you can separate them into 2 separate islands I think it would be best. With the type of rocks you have, it may be easier to drill them and use rods to connect them together to come up with other options than just stacking them.

It's good you have it taped off in 1/3rds. You are moving the the right direction. Most important thing is that you like it. Don't be afraid to bust out a drill, fiber glass rods and epoxy to make the rocks stack right.

I think I'm getting closer, little tweaks here and there..

Aquascapes Help!!

Yup I would agree you are getting closer. The islands are still pretty symmetrical, but the shape of them is better. In the end, it's all about what you like though! The right one I really like, left still needs some tweaking

Couple more attemps:

If you try to pivot one of the islands somewhat sideways facing the other at an angle, it would give the tank a nice depth.

High gotta, I think your struggling a little as you're rock is a fairly similar in size and shape to all the other pieces so it's more difficult to get something more natural looking and yet sturdy( if that is what your going for) . However all is not lost have a quick google for cp farm reef. I personally love this tank, 2 islands, a play on perspective and a canyon ! This should be achievable with the rock you have and may give you some ideas. Good luck gotta .

Gotta like sharks, just remember this is one of the best times. Before anything is in and you can adjust. Planning is one of the most fun parts of having a tank. Do what looks good to you and beneficial for what you plan to have in there. Good Luck, let us know with what you finally decide!

What I find helps is to stack them and then place your light on the tank to see what kind of spread you have and try to imagine where you would want what type of corals. So if you want a mixed tank, make sure you have places where you can place sps up high that would get enough light and vise versa for low light, mid light. From my limited experience you're just going to be changing it little by little once it gets more established anyways. Looking back at my first attempts I can say it honestly looked horrible. Now after it being up for 6 months and rearranging every now and then I am in love with it.
