I didn't glue mine, but I did make sure they were sturdy, and secure, when I placed them. One thing I didn't do, and I wish I had now, is put my rock down first, and then fill in around it with the live sand, as oppossed to setting the rock on top of the live sand. The reason being, I would have liked to have gotten some sand sifters, like nassarius snails, to keep the sand free of detritus, but they burrow under the sand, and I was concerned that it would cause my rock to become unstable. With my tank all set up and growing, I don't want to disturb it, so I now have to rely on hermits and shrimp.
