Aquatic life XS-UV

Anyone try the aquaticlife XS UV LED fixture yet? Looks to be available in 14 inch 91 watt version for a very reasonable price when comparing to similar size LED from say reef breeders or reef radiance. I have an aquaticlife T5 fixture that I have been happy with and a reef radiance that also seems to be doing job for me. Looking to replace my T5 with LED.

anyone have an opinion? The 14 inch looks to be a deal under $330 . Comparing to similar price point reef breeder Ocean revive?

I have never used their LED but I do have other Aquatic Life products. I can definitely say that they are a class company with excelent customer service. Best of all they are based right here in Southern California. This is not some glorified garage style shop.

Also I remember sitting in on a demo of their programming software and I was pretty impressed.

What are the measurements of the tank you are putting this over.

Wow, where do you see it for that price at? I agree with GCarroll. They have one of the best CS in the business. While I don't use that fixture, they do have great T5 bulbs

I would be using it over half of a 55 mixed mostly LPS with a couple of montis that are up high. Special at Marine Depot

Ok so I've had this fixture running for about 2 months now. I decided to buy two and move my reefradiance over to qt/frag tank. Really happy with the results I'm seeing so far Acans are very colored up. Seeing some nice growth from a couple of encrusting montis that I have about 12-14 inches down. The programming using PC is pretty simple and straightforward. I have the LEDs ramping up peaking at about 70 percent around noon for about 2 hours . I think any more intensity would be overkill. The optics have most of the whites and blues with lenses with two red LED and one violet having no lens at all. Lots of flexibility as there are 4 channels white , blue , royal blue and red. Bought some new macro lenses so I can try to document what is going on.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, especially for my first post here, but I am considering these lights as well. I was wondering if the OP had any more thoughts on them.

There really isn't any info out there on these things aside from Sanjay and this opinion right here.

I can get some for wicked cheap right now, but I wanted to make sure they will do what I need them to first.

I have a 10g FOWLR with some free Marineland reef ready lights. I am getting the Aquaticlife for the corals I want to set up in here in the future.

I still like them a lot my one monti has almost increased in size by about 10X others growing much more slowly but growing well. LPS all very happy.

JohnnyZ,

I'm considering this 46" fixture. Still a happy reefer, or have you upgraded to newer technology ? This fixture has a great price these days.
