LOL, I'm sure you'll enjoy the $100 frag Mike As you mentioned the contrast of these compared to the other coral we keep is what peaks my interest the most.

I got my piece. It costed me an arm and both legs.

Looking good so far. I fed it both nights and it looks like it'll be fine.

Although I do have it sitting on one of my frag stands 15 inches from the light. You guys think that will be an issue?

No, should be fine assuming it's opening and no nuisance algae is growing on any exposed skeleton.

I also noticed your avatar. I picked up that gorgonian a few days ago too. What are you feeding it? It seems pretty easy to feed since the tentacles are decently large/sticky.

it loves small mysis, cyclopeze and we target feed him oyster eggs,phytofeast and some other stuff.
It has grown alot.

FYI, the Archohelia is pretty easy to keep as long as it's fed often. My colony is now 9 months old and while it hasn't grown much it it looks just as pretty as when I first got it.

I find the easiest thing to feed it is crushed flake food with a turkey baster.

Yeah, I was a little shocked at the shipping cost. The only thing that reduces the shipping rate is to buy more stuff from them, which I was tempted to do

Looks like a nice healthy frag doorlady. I wasn't sure what to expect since it's not WYSIWYG. Makes me feel better about the purchase. Can't wait to get mine.

Got a question. Do you guys feed every polyp? I'm thinking since this is a colonial coral as long as the majority of the polyps are getting fed the colony itself will do fine. Let me know if I'm correct in this assumption.

I have been feeding them, buy just squirting mysis, and roti at them. Seem to be doing well, but I have only had the colony since Thursday.
