Are torts slow growers?

Just wondering as I have a ORA frag and it hasn't grown much over the last year. I admit that my tank hasn't been entirely stable but I have for the most part sorted it all out and it still hasn't grown that much.

Anyone have any input on their experience with torts?

mine has grown from about a 3 inch frag to about six inches long and 5 wide, id say 400% in 10 months, but the last three months have seen most of that growth.

they certainly dont' grow as fast as mille's, but i wouldn't call them slow.

my ORA (cali) tortuosa grows pretty fast (not breaking any records) but my oregon blue tort is pretty slow... almost "monster" slow. All of this relative to other acros like milles, yongei, micropthalma, and other fast growers.

I can second what Kip said. My ORA grows like any other acro but the Oregon takes forever...Probably why frags are so expensive

my Oregon tort, has grown 1/8 " in almost 9mo.IMO very sloooooooooow.

that is what I am seeing with my ORA tort :(

I have a frag of the ORA Blue Tort as well and mine is VERY slow growing, I doubt if its gained 1/8" in 6 months. (Its only an inch and a half frag) Not much encrusting around the base either, especially when compared to a millepora I got at the same time which is growing pretty quickly. My Chips Acro is also a little slow growing.
