There has been no decisions! I'm just fishing for ideas.
Please keep this thread down to dollar amounts that you think would be reasonable for annual membership fees. Just show $0 if you don't agree with club dues.

I think.
$15

I don't know, possibly:
Meeting/frag swap room rental
Club cook-out
Extension cords or other equipment for use at swaps
Club Mascott (Sea Hare) We could pass him around. LOL
The right to vote

I dont think a penny from these funds should be used with out a club budget approval vote.
It should be up to the voting members of the club and each purchase/purpose should be voted on accordingly.

Sorry I wasnt meaning that the way it sounded. I am not against dues to a club that can help further the club but I think the club should be organized before that is even brought up. Too many things running through my mind all the time and things dont always come out the way I think them.

I think the dues would depend on how often we plan to meet, so hopefully we can decide that at the meeting.

CORA Dues - thirteen dollars
ARS Dues - zero dollars
A bucket of salt - sixty dollars
The sense to slow down and take our time - priceless

yeah I agree, but how long has ARS been a forum without ever actually having a meet, I would say then has went realllly slow.....haha

And I am all for getting started. Just because we haven't done much in the past doesn't mean we need to make up for lost time now. Let's have a meeting. Then we will decide what to do next. Please. Stop pushing. Please.

I haven't said anything besides let's have a meeting, so I hope your not referring to me. I'm just kind of getting tired of seeing slow down, pointless posts.

It's just that I have a big head, and little arms, and I just don't know how well you've thought this plan through.

There's a reason for that..you're a newer member so you won't understand but there is a reason. BTW less than a year.

Again there is a reason why it's slow and Kungs post isn't pointless. Curtis was fishing for info and he got it and should continue to get it from people that are actually ready to be members of a new club.

Another plea to please STOP pushing. If we aren't meeting your needs I'm sorry but right now we're doing the best that we can. I think once we all meet face to face things will be better.

Same three zero's.
Lost me here :crazy1:

Do I need to keep getting the info from the same people over and over? They never answered anything.
This thread clearly asked for a simple $? answer.

Read my 3rd post in this thread to clear up the three zero's.

We are now on post 17 and not one persons has tried to keep the thread on track.

Does anyone think I have the answers to their questions? Who am I to answer them anyway? I wasn't asking for any money or fixing any dues.
This same question has to be asked and answered at the meeting. I just thought we could get an idea of a few things so we don't have to take up valuable meeting time. My gosh, some of these same people only want to meet 4 times a year!

Why do you want to take so much time? It's not like their isn't 100's of good reef club examples to choose from.

I'd have no issues contributing $10-$20 a year.

CORA Dues - thirteen dollars

I think the $13 CORA charges is very reasonable. I in the past had considered being a paid member of them and I'm 3 hours away.

.
Sorry guess I didn't get the memo.
Have to vote for no dues right now. So guess that's four zeros for ya

CORAs dues at 13.00 are more than fair for what they have after many years...but they can offer more"bang for the buck" than we can right now.
