Over the Holiday break I have been installing a 220g tank in the new OU Children's hospital. The tank is a marineland, and really nice. It is being set up as a reef and has T5s over it. It will have the usual set up of sump and skimmer, refugium etc.

The corals for the tank will be a mix of soft and stonies....stuff that has color and would captivate kids.

It is my hope that this tank will be the catalyst for adding several more tanks throughout the multiple floors of the hospital.

It is in this regard that I am writing this post. I would like to ask for donations of frags of corals to add to this tank. I have a lot of stuff in my system that I will be adding to it, but most of my stuff is hard corals and its a pretty large tank.

If you would be willing to donate corals to this tank please let me know, either here or by PM. Please give me a description of the coral and I can let you know if it is something we can use in this system, and not something we already have.

Also, if anyone has any fish they are looking to rehouse, let me know.

Thanks guys,

Paul.

I have an orange and green ric, some purple/blue clove polyps "spread fast", several green strip mushrooms, mint green elkhorn, and maybe others. lmk I work downtown and could deliver them anytime during the day.

I've been wanting to break down my 65g, and I have what I believe is a maroon clown in it that I've had for 7-8 years now, healthy as a horse and will eat outta my fingers.
I BOUGHT him as a maroon, but he lacks the cheek-spines, so lately I've been wondering precisely what species of clown he actually is. I'd be willing to donate him if you think he'd be alright around other fishes.
Gotta have the obligatory "Nemo" in a marine tank surrounded by kids.

Greg,

I already have clowns lined up for the tanks. I do appreciate your offer however,

Thanks,

P.

I am growing out my few zoas, I'd love to see some kids get some enjoyment from them once they are colonized enough to frag.

i also have a pink tree coral if u need and also a neon green bubble coral that is ready to frag but i dont know how to frag it can u?

Hey Paul where is this tank being placed, possibly in the new play room on 6? I'll be going to days soon and would love to help you with set-up or whatever you need

Paul, you have no idea how happy I am that you are doing that tank. The one in the old End Zone was horrible. I have some Green and Lavender tipped frog spawn and Rose BTAs. I have four anenomes at the moment, it will just be what I can get out of the tank when you need it.

The tank itself is on the top floor of the new hospital. This is a mostly academic area but kids will still see it up there.

The idea behind this tank is to make a show-piece system that will act as a template for future planned tanks on other floors. The corals in this will then be used to populate subsequent tanks.

I have a few pictures of the tank and the rockwork, but the water was still a little cloudy so I will snap a few more in the next few days.

Would just like to say I think that this is great and hopefully I will have something to donate to future tanks. Great work Paul and everyone pitching in!

Paul, is there anything in particular as far as sps or lps that you need to stock the tank? I have alot, but didn't want to duplicate. Do you need any hammers, any more candycanes? I have green slimmers and much more just have to take a look and see what all else I have that I can frag.
