'Aspirational' Fish for 2014

OK, so what's on the 2014 fish 'bucket list'?

I'm fast approaching fish saturation in my tank, so absent some kind of disaster (always possible ), am going to need to be judicious in my future acquisitions. Have never been willing to drop serious coin on reef fish, but am seriously thinking that my tank needs a Zebra Tang! Pricey, but not outrageous.

I've always wanted a pair of multibar angels... probably not 2014 but definitely aspirational as far as my dream fish list goes. I wasn't fond of the zebra tang when it was first released, but they are slowly growing on me.

You gotta be a big polka dot fan for that. I'd prefer to see a group of 5 Achilles, on the ridiculous off chance you could get them to spawn.

For me, I'd love to see a pair of Peppermint angels in my reef tank, but I'd be happy with just one. Truthfully though, it'd scare the bedonkey out of me. They're so fragile that I'd worry non-stop about them!

Give the pair to me and I'll breed them. Still waiting on my second pair from Kevin at DD (velvet showed up in QT two weeks in ). In the mean time I am putting together spawner tanks for a collection of Centropyge and Paracentropyge species. I'm hoping 2014 brings me as much good fortune as Karen has had with her project.

They're so fragile that I'd worry non-stop about them!

It's too easy to obsess over the tank as is - don't think my sanity could handle a $25k fish.

You mean, like 20,000 years ago ...... ? :lol: Sorry, just struck me as funny. Was LaFS for me. Haven't seen too many for sale though; plus I wonder how well it would play with my Achilles?

Hahaha you got me there.. as in their recent frequent appearance is what I was referring too. I would use an acclimation box for a while.. we all know tangs have that possible out lash towards each other..

Yeah, I knew what you meant, just got a chuckle out of it I've already got four tangs in my display, and two more in QT ..... tempting fate perhaps, but I'd be hard pressed to resist a Zebra if I saw one at my LFS.
