What would you guys suggest for a 36x24x24 mixed reef tank, 4 bulb or 8 to get full coverage?

I received my 2ft (4x24w + 75W LED) last week and it was just my luck that one of the T5 channels wouldn't dim so icontacted the local distributor here in Australia
and within the hour had an email from ATI telling me that they will replace the control unit that comes with the light, I had the replacement unit within 2 days and managed to hang the light yesterday.
The only bad thing i have to say about it is the location and thickness of the power chord, It took a bit to level the light as the chord kept pulling one side to the back of the tank so
i cable tied it to my return piping and its prefect.
I am very impressed with not only the light but also the support that comes with it, Anyway people are asking for pics so here are a few more.![]()

I wouldn't mind clouds and a storm. Dim the t5s and flash the LEDs would be pretty cool. This is my first T5 fixture and to be honest I'm not overly impressed. T5 IMO look bla and flat but the LEDs add the shimmer that is missing, still missing something though. I'm thinking about replacing it with a few Radion Pros. We will see...
And still no one seems bothered about the fact that the software does not have the cloud cover , storms or moonlighting on it ?:headwally:
Those are all gimmicky features that are geared towards consumers who enjoy flashy, useless options.
Well, for the $2000 we all paid, I'd actually like it if the light talked to me and told me the weather forecast over my reef. The actual light construction quality is superb, it just seems the software is in need of an upgrade. At the least, it should have Mac compatibility, and hopefully one day there will be some fun "gimmicky", as you called it, features for everyone that are presets. I would assume that the competition between light makers will begin shifting towards the software side. Already, there are fixtures that are able to be controlled wirelessly--also a gimmick, but a really convenient one.
Tank has finally finished the cycle, so now the re-stocking begins and to have some fun with this light

For those with the 24" fixture how is the spread of the single led bay of lights? Does it cover the footprint of your tank? I'm thinking of getting the 8 bulb fixture for a 36"x36" tank and am curious about the coverage and whether the LEDs create a spotlight effect.
No real spot light, they spread out really nicely.
Got my ati pm 10x39w with 32leds replacing the 2 dusk&dawn bulbs, it came out pretty good.
