ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Can the T5 ramp up-down be over a 2 hour period?

Yes.

I'm curious how high people are running their LEDs at peak? I am slowly increasing my % and would like to know when I should consider stopping. My tank is mainly SPS. Thanks.
I run my Royal Blue@100%, Blue and White LED's at 35% as I run an 8 tube unit over a 47G tank. With a larger tank I tank you can go upto around 50%; BUT make sure you acclimatise. Somewhere around 45% is IMO just fine.

Yup, thats the one he got. He had his local lsf order it for him so id assume it was from ATI.

But thanks, i Pmed the guy i bought it off of and he actually suggested i contact you

Get the ATI software from the ATI USA website. Ensure you have latest USB drivers etc on your system. Install the latest software you downloaded from ATI USA website. Hook up to a different USB point and see if it makes a difference.

If you still cannot get it connected contact ATI USA and see if they can assist you.

Sahin,
I am not sure I follow this. The fixture has separate adjustments for each color and then a global adjustment. What is your global % with blue and white at 35%? Thx

At peak, I set the GLOBAL Intensity at 100%, but the number 0-255 =
255 for Royal Blue (hence Royal Blue is at max ie 100%), and for Blue and White channel = 90 (ie (90/255)*100=35%). Hope that makes sense.

I tested the number of watts per channel and RB/B/W are all roughly equal.

Hi group! I have been using LED's since i started the hobby but I am now a proud owner of a 24" 4 bulb ATI Led powermodule :) this light will be going over my 22.5"X20"X19" Elos midi. I bought 2 ATI Blue+, 2 ATI Coral+, and 1 ATI Actinic bulb to play around with.

After trying (Front) Blue+ Coral+ --LED-- Blue+ Coral+ (Rear), I realized this combo was too white for my taste, even with the Royal Blue and Blue on at 100%. Would this combo turn more or less blue once the bulbs have burned in for 50 hours..?

What I tried next was (Front) Blue+ Actinic --LED-- Coral+ Blue+ (Rear) and was satisfied with this color. From what I read, actinics typically aren't recommended in a 4 bulb setup due to loss of par, but I don't believe this will be an issue in my LPS dominated setup. I have nems placed high in the tank, and the rest of my LPS are midway and on the lower portion of my tank. Id prefer a "longer" light schedule starting around 10AM and ending around 12AM. I'd like to run only LEDs for a couple hours to start the day , then T5+LEDs midday, then just LEDs at night. Can someone please recommend a safe amount of intensity and hours for the T5's to be on midday and also how long of a ramp up and ramp down?

Also, during the "break-in" period, do you guys run the bulbs on 100% for 50 hours straight?

shoutout to Sahin for all the contributions he's made in this thread!

Here's my FTS with LEDs from earlier this year. Thanks!

I love Elos tanks...one day I will be able to afford the large versions. :D

The (Front) Blue+ Coral+ --LED-- Blue+ Coral+ (Rear) is actually a very good all round combo.

This is a decent combo too. If you are in the USA and able to visit World Wide Corals you will see their 630G tank runs ONLY 1 WHITE tube...the rest are Blue tubes along with Royal Blue LED's. They are amazing colour on ALL their corals.

In terms of PAR the actinic tube may have low PAR, but it in terms of PUR; it probably is 100% and no other bulb will come close to producing close to 100% PUR.

In terms of a light profile, send me a PM with your email address. I will make a light profile for you. Let me know briefly what light period and times you would like.

Also, during the "break-in" period, do you guys run the bulbs on 100% for 50 hours straight?
You can do this and just run the tubes for 50 hours and break them in for good. Else run them at 7 hours per day without using the LED's and no ramping. After 7 days they will be burnt in.

Here's my 300 FTS I took yesterday. I'm running 60" ATI Led Powermodules 8x80 4x75. Loving it, growing Acro on the bottom. More then happy with this unit.

Can someone give me an idea of the weight of a 4 bulb 48" unit? I see where these units are described as "heavy" but I have not been able to find a weight listed on any website.

if it helps any, my 24" LED PM fixture is about 16-17lbs, and my friends 36" LED PM weighs about 25lbs

Anyone switched out radium metal halide/t5 fixtures for example Giesemanns, for the Powermodule Hybrid? how does it compare in sps growth and color ?

I placed the order for the powermodule hybrid today and will be joining the club soon. it was either the PM hybrid or the gieseman spectra.

A couple of guys running multiple Radiums on large tanks swapped out and happy. Check out this tank:

That is probably the best example. There are many others but the above comes to my mind.
