Beautiful pics. Question. What are the two Lps at the bottom left of the last image

I have a probem. I was playing with software and for some reason now my leds are stuck in on position. No matter what progeam i try to load the leds stay on.

I am building a new tank this month and wanted some info on these lights.
The tank will be 36x30x20.

I am looking at the 8x24w 1LED hybrid or the 8x36w 2LED

Will the 24w work on this tank? I didnt want over kill and the cost is a lot better on the 24w as well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes. I have my fixture hung about 12" over my 24" cube and I have very little light spill.

very interesting... Do you think you could post a picture by chance? Id love to see the fixture. Also, how do you feel about the 1 LED set. Is it enough?

I have the light over a 36" x 26" x 20" and the coverage is very good. The par is a little lower on the sides, but my LPS are doing well.

I have a question for you and I have read about a few pages back. When I loose power my light goes to 8am. My question is just so I never have a problem when I am out of town would it hurt the light to have it plugged into Apex and have it turn off evry morning at 7:59am and back on at 8am so the clock would always be good??? Or could I corrupt the programming with turning it off this way. I already have on my Apex so I can turn off if my temp goes to hi so I would not be wasting a outlet.

Thank you for any info. I called ATI about this 8am problem and they told me that they did not know of a fix? My light is a 24" 8 bulb with old style LED.

Awesome light and glad to join the club.

HI Guys,

I've just read through this whole thread and I'm just about to press the button on an order for this unit.

Before I do, can I get a recommendation for the unit size I'm gonna need.

My tank is 54"L x 28" w x 26"h. Is the 8x54w tube version the right one for me or will the 4x54w tube version be better?

Tank is mostly SPS with LPS and zoas on the bottom

Thanks

Yep , 8 bulb for sure.

I'm really considering going for one of these. Right now I have a pair of elos 250w pendants running 14k phoenix bulbs. corals are doing great but heat is way over the top and so is evaporation. Tank is only 37" x 19" (custom dimensions). I'm wanting to get the 36" 4 bulb fixture. My only concerns are fan noise and the possibility of still causing too much heat. What are your experiences with these 2 factors?

28Wide ? I would definetly go with the 8x54

I really think, unless you plan to put SPS everywhere in the tank, that the 4 bulb is good enough. You'll probably not have a ton of stuff in the back 4-6" anyways, so I think the 8 bulb is overkill.

My tank is 24" wide, and I would still have gone with the 4 bulb (knowing how powerful these lights are) even with a tank up to 30" (front to back or side to side)

My tank is 24" deep, and I have the light 12" off the water to keep from burning stuff.
