Does it matter if hanging these the cord comes out the left or the right? I was thinking of 2x 4' fixtures over my 96" tank and would like one cord out the left and one out the right side. Can't tell from online pictures if they have a logo on one side/display or anything else on the fixture itself.

Nothing except the small logo, you can hang it either way, I have cord on the right side now but want to move power supply on the left side of my tank so have to turn my fixture 180*...

There is a logo on both sides of my 2ft fixture. So it wouldn't matter which way.

Can anyone take a snap shot of there lighting schedule and led settings. Indicate overall spectrum of led 10,14,20k. They are shipping my unit tomorrow should get it by Wednesday or Thursday. I'm pumped

How heavy is the unit? I have a 60". Im assuming that everyone found studs in their ceiling???

The other concern I have is the side to side room I have with my canopy. I have 60.75" which only leaves a little room on each side. I read that the end opposite of the power cord needs to be well ventilated. My only thought is cutting out a large hole of my canopy so heat can easily escape. Cutting a hole on my right side wouldn't be bad at all because no one sees that side. My other thought would be just to put a fan on that end to help with the exhaust.

Thoughts?

Is 3" enough to turn the cord down on each side? I have exactly 98" (wall to wall alcove) to work with, each unit has a spec of 46.2" length which leaves me 2.8" on each side to get the cord pointed down or backwards.

Yes. 3" is enough.

I have ben toying with the idea of switching to this fixture but I have a weird dimension tank 32x32 cube. I'm thinking that the 24" 1 LED module won't be enough? The 36" fixture which is actually 34" will overhang 1" on each side but I am ok with that. Can anyone with the 36" tell me how many inches apart the LEDs are?

I think the 24" would work. The LEDs have some serious spread. They cover my 24" cube and the fixture is sitting on the rim of the tank. Once I get it hung, it'll cover more for sure.

Anyone know which banks are controlled by which channel?

I have 6 Blue+, 1 Coral Plus, and one Purple+ and don't know what order I should run them at.

Do you have an 8 tube unit? If so, bulbs 1,2,7,8 are on one channel . Bulbs 3,4,5,6 are on the other channel.

I use the Royal Blue LED's with a tiny bit of the red channel for dawn/dusk. I then have the 3,4,5,6 T5's some on...and then the rest of the T5's later.

Hmm..... that would make things easier for sure. I'm just not certain since the tank is Very SPS dominated. :sad2:

Using the ATI LED Powermodule Software

Guys, I made this tutorial with a bit of guidance on how to use the software. Excuse my wierd voice and British accent!

In the video I explain the main features of the software etc and take you through setting up a light profile and the features associated with that.

It is about 15 minutes long, but do go through the video if you are new to the software and the light as I tried to go over almost everything you need to know. If you follow the video and Ryans written tutorial, I cant see you not being able to work out how to set things up and experimenting with the light.

Richard, I have the 8tube 24watt version over my 30L x 20D x 18H tank...

However, for the 24inch version, I would say the absolute longest length I would give for SPS is about 28-30inches. LPS would be fine right upto 36inches. Low light SPS like montis (except for the blue Monti Digitata) would be fine, Monti caps etc etc.

I know you are a hardcore SPS keeper like myself, and if it were me, I would go for the 36" version. I dont think the 1inch over hang on each side will look bad. Once mounted at the recommended height, you probably wont even notice it.

Remember your Solana tank had the 24inch overhanging...that didnt look bad at all.

IF you keep the SPS in the 28-30inch area, you will be fine. Just my 0.2 cents. LOL.

Jackson, can you run the fixture diagonally? A 36" fixture may fit that way. Might look a little funny to begin with but would work nicely.
