ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

I have had my new PM fixture for a couple of weeks and I am about ready to start ramping my LEDs up. I am currently running my LED at about 35% at peak. Any suggestions for a plan to gradually ramp LED output over time? I am thinking about something like 1 or 2% per week until I hit my target PAR?

Thanks,
Pat

You can raise 5% a week but check limits of white and reds i suggest not over 50% of w and 10% of reds

Thanks for your reply. So let me follow up on that. The fixture has two adjustments....

1. Global % Output
2. Individual Channel output.

At Peak, my channels as set for the Coral + preset. That is as follows..

Red = 130
RB = 255
Blue = 172
White = 255

Global percent is 35% at peak for 6 hours along with my 4 T5 bulbs at 100% for 6 hours. Other than this I am ramping Blue LEDs up and down.

So based on this, do I need to make any further adjustments to the channels as I slowly increase the global percent?

My previous fixture was an AtI 6x39w fixture. My current PAR on the new fixture is about the same as the old fixture. (with current settings.)

Thanks

coral plus are a very good spectrum TUBE...don't like so much the led setup called coral +

for my experience can be used until total % of pads are lower then 50/60% cause white leds are too strong for corals..now you can use this setup if you like visual effect of light.

when you want to push power up i suggest to lower white and red channel (or a preset setup like BLUE PLUS)

i use a custom setup at 70% total power :

RB 255
B 200
W 120
R off (but have many tubes that i use to play for pink/red part of spectrum)

since 3 weeks are all ok ;)

if you have white leds on at high power i suggest also to raise fixture at least at 10 inches from water surface.

Shorting problem

Shorting problem

I've had a problem with my ATI Hybrid, that i wonder if anyone has ever had this problem also.

Yesterday, a small amount of tank water spashed on the electrical cord outlet. It caused a short, and caused the light programing in the ATI to short out, and not function at all. The light still works, but only after i had to set up a new custom lighting program for it.

Also, the LED display on the power modual has changed(partially). Display not reading properly.

When i try to redownload the originally made program, from the lamp, to the computer, the "graphs" that are suppost to show up on the computer program, are "off the scale", and i get a "program error" message, and it won't download.

Can this original program be deleted? And how? Or do i have a serious problem?

My suggestion is to call ATI North America. Someone normally answers and can answer these type of questions. They are on the West Coast. And thanks for this warning. I need to move my control box further away from my tank.

Hi guys, I ordered this fixture last week (8 x 24 watt version).

Can't wait to get it!

I was thinking about this t5 combination:

1 ATI Blue Plus
2 ATI Blue Special
3 ATI Blue Plus
4 ATI Coral Plus

LED

5 ATI Purple Plus
6 ATI Blue Special
7 ATI Blue Plus
8 ATI Coral Plus

Any thoughts on this choice?

With only 3 blue+ bulbs it will be pretty white.

Today i'm tired of see old combo and make a new one after 2 hours of testing bulb positions.. I have this now

Tubes are mix of many brands but are 8 blues 3 cold white ( duo and coral) 1 purple and leds are only blue and royal blue

The AS Duo was one of my favorite bulbs back when they were available from Aquarium Specialty. The AS Blue 22k was a great bulb also. Too bad they can't be found in the US anymore, I'd sure buy some!
