ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Hi Sahin,

I'd like to increase my white LED's as well to get the shimmer, but having bleached a few corals in the past with other LED's and high whites, I'm a little anxious.

Did you slowly ramp up to 60% or was this your day 1 setting ? What %ages are you running for the other colours on the LEDs ?

I'm currently running the Blue+ setting at 50% intensity, do you think I could just increase the white on this to increase the shimmer effect ?

Thanks

Lee

Does it include a lunar mode?

Yes...but it doesnt follow the lunar cycle...and is a repeat every day...

So you would be using the Royal Blue or Blue or even white at a very dimmed down level say 1%. On units with 2 or more clusters you can have the moonlight "travel" over the reef...

Hi Guys,

I've been having some issues adjusting the settings on my hybrid, each time I make a setting change, it doesn't take effect until a reset the unit.

Anyway, I spoke to ATI, and they made me aware of new light studio version 1.3.2.6 and firmware 1.03, which I've upgraded to.

Now, when I change a setting, such as changing my LEDs from Blue+ to coral+, all my lights (including the T-5's) go off for a few seconds, then come back with the new setting. Furthermore, just performing a "load from lamp" in light studio has the same effect of everything going off.

Can anyone confirm whether this is supposed to happen, my fish are not impressed with the sudden onset of darkness, as you can imagine.

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee,

1. Had my light nearly a year...never had this issue.
2. I will test out the new software sometime next week...anything new in it?
3. I am sure this happens to my lamp sometimes...not 100% sure on this...as to whether it happens all the time...I assume sometimes depending on the program chosen or if significantly different, the controller needs to reset?

HI Sahin,

I sent an email off to ATI last night to query this issue, they responded today saying that that in the new firmware, it is now expected that the lights will switch off for a few seconds after a configuration change.

I still have my doubts, to be honest, I don't suppose you fancy upgrading to 1.03 and see if you see the same as me ?

Thanks

Lee

Does anyone have recommendations on winches or other mechanisms to hang and subsequently adjust the light vertically?

This would be for a 48" 8 bulb unit.

I think the real question I have is for those running the hybrid powermodule,

How do you find the LED aspect as this is the same configuration found within the ATI Sirius albeit twin rows at opposing ends of the unit edge.

Anyone moved from a Hybrid to a Sirius that can share?

Thanks

Now with Giesemann and Pacific Sun coming out with very similar fixtures (but better software) I wonder if ATI will have a solution for us Mac users. I'd rather not have a Windows installed only for a single purpose of controlling my aquarium light.

I'm having major color loss issues with anything pink sps in my tank. They still grpw but they lose their color. I'm running 2 blue+ 1 coral+, and 1 purple+. LEDs I'm running at full blue 40% white and 10% red. I'm not getting any coloration in my pinks. Any suggestions?

Could it be a water issue? I thought there was a specific element that helped pinks but I can't remember which.

^^^ Anyone else experiencing this problem? IME, T5 were great at coloring up reds & pinks - especially his combo.

+1 to what Ryan points out. Here is the result of my pink coral under this light:

I hope they will. Even if they dont, I really think its worth it; ATI T5 units together with their excellent and reliable tubes will always be a high performance combination.

Your combo seem fine...perhaps I would run 2xBlue+ and 2xCoral+.

Also run 1/4 of the BRS recommended GFO and 1/2 of BRS recommended GAC for your system and FEED your fish very well at least 2-3 times a day whilst keeping NO3@ 5ppm or less and PO4@ 0.05ppm or less.

Make sure you run the full spectrum/daylight T5's AT LEAST 7 hours as well.

Post back after 6 weeks if you havent seen any positive changes.
