atlantic pigmy octo ?

im looking for imformation on an atlantic pigmy octopus if indeed there is sutch a thing. im aware of one from the other side of the pond but not the atlantic aney help would be epriceated.thanks

ok he is in the tank lets see how this goes.if it helps aney the color i see him usualy take on is a rusty red coloration.

O. mercatorus is a true Atlantic pygmy and it is usually reddish brown.

sorry he is all holed up only comes out at night to eat i assume he is eating the brakish ghost shrimp are dissapearing every day.ill continue to try for a pic.

O. joubini is another dwarf from the western atlantic.

True, but it is a bit larger. Also, many of the animals that are called O. joubini are actual O. mercatoris.

this guy is shy two weeks no opps for a good pic.he or she must be totaly nocturnal.seems hardy enough considering its my first attempt at an octo but not to satisfying as a pet due to its cryptic nature.ill see this one through its lifcycle if pocible and prepare for a larger specimin in the future. i realy want some ammount of interaction with sutch a pet.
