Atlantic Tropicals

Dont even bother. I drove there to check it out. I took three steps into the and turned around and left. I wont say any more because it's not worth the time.

Is that the place at the end of the eastbound 60 Atlantic offramp?

Kevin

No Kevin, they are in Norwalk (I think) or Ceritos (the link), not far off of the 91. Most of the business is internet sales, not much to look at in the store.

Kevin what did you think of the one off the 60 fwy on Atlantic Blvd. Its kind of small but very nice people.

Only stopped through a couple of times and didn't spend much time there (always on my way somewhere else)... So, not much of an impression one way or the other...

Is this the place in Artesia? There is a place there that also says they "wholesale to the public" and just wondering if it's the same place?

I think it is the same people, they now have an ad on recycler stating they are a "private party" but if you email them you get huge low-balled price list. They also have ads saying its a store going out of business, wholesale to the public, even "taking down tank and need to get rid of stock". But when you come in the store they either say they donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t have it in stock or will not honor the price unless you spend a load of $$$.

Yes, its the same one. Its Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaady!!!
They're breaking every single law in retail there. Bait and switch, false advertisement, etc etc.

I wish I was a lawyer...

JN: I am a lawyer. Unless they screwed me. why bother with them .Just don't do business with these creeps.

LOL. But if you want a few thousand dollars of extra money for corals.... this is a sure win. I can't count how many times one of my friends went there to purchase one of their 180 gallon acrylic tanks for $400, only to find out that they have to buy a stand and filter system if they want that price. Clearly not written in the ad, and a waste of time.

maybe i will look into this further if for no reason than to remind these people that can't bait and switch. good idea!!!

Maybe you should go and let them know what they are doing "bait and switch" is against the law. The regular Joes don't have a leg to stand on when dealing with these type of dishonest business people. They might listen to someone who in a LAWYER like yourself. Let us know if you went down there.

Donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t forget to mention to them that some of the freshwater stuff Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve seen them advertise are illegal, ie: Asian Arowana and Pig noise turtle are two that I can remember.
