Its been a while since i updated. Had a great summer and went on 3 major vacations (Italy, Denver, Florida). Unfortunately my tank suffered because of this. I really let it get away from me and i lost a few of the nice corals i got last year at the swap. Im also expecting my first child in 2 months So im expecting to be at home alot more. I hope this helps me keep up with tank maintenance.
Im Reworking my fish room to add a 40gal Anemone grow out tank. I had my frag tank set up in half, one for anemones, one for frags, but The frags are outgrowing their half. The 40 gal is separated into 3 sections and I plan on having a different bubble tip in each section (Red, Green, and ? Yellow)
Pictures will come soon once i get it plumbed in today.
I cleaned The whole tank yesterday and reworked the frag tank. Because I will have more room in the frag tank im going to try a growout system as much as just frags. I have boxes of 3x6 subway tiles left over from a few tile jobs. I let 20 of them cure over the last few weeks and ive glued all my Zoa, Xenia, Encrusting monties, Clove polyp, and GSP to the Tiles. I hope this will make for easy cutting either removing them from the tiles, or just cutting the tiles with my tile saw (in the case of the encrusting monties)
Lastly I got a Carpet anemone for my main tank. hopefully the clownfish start hosting it soon
