Attaching Light into Canopy

What do you guys think is the best way to install a retro-fit PC lighting system into an acrylic hood?

I've read that super glue or goop (ok...what exactly is 'goop'?) works well. However I just wanted to hear it from those who have actually done this. No worries about the glue melting from lighting heat or what not?

The DIY forum might be a better place to check. I wouldn't trust cyanoacrylate (superglue), personally.
