Nope I didn't buy one. I got the Jayda's instead. I am still working on better shots of some of those small frags I have like the setosa, oregon tort, horridia etc. My hands seem to shake too much in my old age.

How shaded is your Jayda's?

I have it pretty far down (maybe 3/4 of the way down or more). I got the smallest of the pieces from Greg but it is doing fine. Thought he had said to keep it down low. Am I wrong?

no i was wondering mine is compleatly shaded and is has some resesion going on the part that is living looks great

Brian & Brian. I have mine towards the bottom and off to the side under my 250 DE. The pink has started to return and the eyes are beginning to get that sparkle.

Nice stuff! Not to be negative, but your colors are a little pale. Do you have a really low bioload or something?

Yes just switched to 10 K's last week. The jury is still out as to how I like them.

Think some of the paleness may just be my wonderful tank photography skills. If anything I still need to work on reducing my nutrients.

How do the photos compare to what you see? Some of them look simply like the picture is over saturated, others look like improper white alancing.

They are actually pretty close. I would say some of the purples and dark blues are a little oversaturated (i.e. the superman) but really not that much (it is really close to that bluesh purple).

I actually use the camera raw white balancing tool so the WB is pretty close if not right on. The reds probably are not as pronounced as they are in my tank.

a couple of folks in here have seen my tank in person and can probably chime in as to it as well.

Would a low bio-load cause that... is that what I need, more fish ? My colours are way to pale.

I had a feeling they were the Reeflux 10k's. The colors are probably spot on, then, as the blue and purple pigments really do brighten that much under this bulb.

I have the wrong ballast to run them, and have no supplementation.
