Hey guys come see my Bryopsis filled tank... Made some beginner mistakes with this vile weed... Manually pruned it a few times and with two months it has taken over the tank. Come discuss what steps I should take next. I just finished step one of Bryopsis removal. (raised Mg) If someone has a good P04 test kit that would be helpful. During all the madness of the war on Bryopsis, I finally got a new lighting system. One that actually gives my corals light!!! Learned a hard lesson with buying crap eBay equipment! Anyway the corals are now growing and coloring up wonderfully! I am planning a few projects, designing and building a canopy, painting the stand and canopy white and rebuilding my poorly built algae scrubber. Also need to find a new location for ATO... So many projects so little time...

I've been reading on your ATS monster thread. Interesting stuff! I have a question that may or may not be addressed in what I've still got to read--how much noise do these things make? Is there a constant trickling sound? The reason I ask is because I'm planning to replumb my overflow with the Herbie method, and the whole point of that is to get a quieter system. It would be an easy enough matter to plumb in an ATS to the main drain line while I'm down there anyways (well, "easy" is a relative term, coming from a guy with zero plumbing experience...).

They are as loud or as quiet as you design them
You will hear mine, its very quiet. Very light trickling water sound. That's it...

Ahh... I was afraid of that. Has anybody designed one that is perfectly silent? Or at least can't be heard over the sound of the skimmer and return?

Check out my current ATS, hanging on the end of the return line. It made itself! Creation ex nihilo! I didn't have to do a thing!

Easy mine... Your skimmer will make a ton more noise. People always comment how quiet my system is...

Hey I think there is a free app that gives you DB! I will see what my tank reads standing in front of it.
